LITERATURE: Renate Ebner, Andreas Gabelmann, Erich Heckel. Werkverzeichnis der Druckgraphik, Vol. 1: 1903–1913, Munich 2021, CR no. 443 L (with ill., different copy).
Annemarie and Wolf-Dieter Dube, Erich Heckel: Das graphische Werk, vol. 2: Radierungen, Lithographien, New York 1965, CR no. L 141 (with ill., likely a different copy).

A beautiful print in good condition. Minor studio marks in the white margins. The edges of the sheet are cut slightly unevenly and have very small missing areas. Faint crease marks in the upper right corner of the sheet, as well as scattered handling marks and minimal waviness throughout. In the subject’s hair, there is a small spot of unknown origin that stands out slightly from the rest of the print. Another barely noticeable spot is present in the upper right corner next to the image. When held up to the light, isolated areas of thinned paper are visible, likely caused by previous mountings on the reverse. All in all, however, the overall impression is extremely harmonious.
