The work is listed in the estate of Erich Heckel, Hemmenhofen on Lake Constance. We are grateful to Ms. Renate Ebner for her kind assistance.

PROVENANCE: Private collection, Bavaria (inherited from the family ownership).

LITERATURE: Galerie Wolfgang Ketterer, Munich, 65th Auction, December 6, 1982, lot 592 (illustrated).

In good condition. Slightly browned overall. There is a small hole in the lower left corner and another pinhead-sized hole in the upper right corner. There is a scratch mark in the lower left corner, where the paper is slightly damaged.
