Stillleben mit Krug und Bottich. 1991.
Oil on cardboard.
Signed and dated in the lower right. 90 x 73.5 cm (35.4 x 28.9 in).
[AR].

• A timeless, masterfully executed still life by the Dutch artist Henk Helmantel.
• Balanced compositions, subtly rendered lighting effects, and nearly photorealistic details.
• Inspired by 17th-century painting, particularly that of Rembrandt and Vermeer.
• Offered for the first time on the international auction market (source: artprice.com)
.

The authenticity of this work has been confirmed by the artist. We are grateful for his kind support.

PROVENANCE: Private collection, North Rhine-Westphalia.
In the family’s possession ever since.

In good condition. Small areas of paint wear and flaking along the edges of the painting, caused by framing. In the lower left and lower right corners, there are very few tiny brown spots on the paint surface, these are virtually unnoticeable in the overall composition. Under UV light, a few brushstrokes that appear darker are visible in the lower part of the painting, however, these are likely original and inherent to the work. All in all, the overall impression is extremely harmonious. The condition report was compiled in daylight with the aid of a UV light source, and to the best of our knowledge and belief.
For information concerning the condition, please view the high resolution image / backside image.
