Imi Knoebel
1940
Ohne Titel. 1977.
Drawing. Graphite and spray paint.
Signed, monogrammed, and twice dated in the lower left. On Schoellershammer wove paper (with the blind stamp). 99 x 69 cm (38.9 x 27.1 in), size of sheet.
[AR].

PROVENANCE: Galerie Vera Munro, Hamburg.
Private collecion, Northern Germany (acquired from the abover).

In good condition. The paper is slightly wavy, faintly browned, and shows signs of studio work. In the colored areas, there are fine, horizontal cracks in places, as well as a few tiny areas where the paint has flaked off. In the lower right corner, within the dark blue area, there are likely small areas of overpainting or retouching. The slightly larger, lighter spots in the center of the image are likely due to the manufacturing process. There is a small, faint crease on the right.
For information concerning the condition, please view the high resolution image / backside image.
