Typographically labeled at the bottom left with the artist’s name, the date, and the title. Unique object. 155 x 150 cm (61 x 59 in). Including frame: 158 x 152,5 cm (62,2 x 60 in).
In the original steel frame. [AW].
• Becoming and passing are recurring themes in Michael Wesely’s work.
• He creates his impressive photographs using extremely long exposures and homemade cameras (pinhole cameras).
• This makes the passage of time over extended periods visible.
• Works by Wesely are held, among others, at the Kunstmuseum Bonn, the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin, the Staatsgemäldesammlungen in Munich, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York
.
