• Unique piece.
• Croissant’s style is characterized by a geometrically abstract formal language.
• However, Croissant developed his abstract stelae from figuration: from his “Standing Figures” of the 1970s, based on Greek and Egyptian models.
• Other works by the artist are held, among others, by the Städel Museum, Frankfurt am Main; the Museum Ludwig, Cologne; and the Lehmbruck Museum, Duisburg.
