• Two still lifes with similar motifs from the Gabriele Münter and Johannes Eichner Foundation were part of the major retrospective “Gabriele Münter - Malen ohne Umschweife” (Gabriele Münter - Painting Without Hesitation) at the Lenbachhaus in Munich in 2018.
• The subtly graded colors reflect the artist's reinvention in the 1920s.
• In this work, Gabriele Münter draws on the quiet yet powerful expressiveness of New Objectivity with painterly sensitivity.
• Until April 26, 2026, the Guggenheim Museum New York is honoring the artist with the comprehensive exhibition “Gabriele Münter: Contours of a World".

Good overall impression. Rubbed due to framing, the thin painting cardboard slightly irregularly trimmed. Small, superficial color losses and rubbing in places. Minimal craquelure in places. Expertly executed retouching in the background. Surface tear at the bottom right.
