• Large-format work by one of the protagonists of German Informel.
• Part of a German private collection since 1982.
• In the 1950s, Thieler was represented at documenta II and III as well as at the 29th Venice Biennale.
• The artist allows the color to spread and mix, thus combining its own momentum with his own artistic, calculated design.
• The artist's works are now included in important collections, including the Kunsthalle Mannheim, the Städel Museum, Frankfurt am Main, and the Collection of Contemporary Art of the Federal Republic of Germany
.

PROVENANCE: Private collection, Berlin (acquired from the artist in 1982).

In good condition. Partially minimally rubbed. Canvas on the stretcher slightly loose with a little too much movement.
