• Thanks to his participation in documenta I (1955), Winter became one of the leading figures of German Informel and abstract post-war Modernism.
• Intense visual impact through the dialogue between bold, contrasting colors and structured, dynamic forms
• Winter began exhibiting in the USA as early as the 1950s, his works featured in two exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, among others.
Accompanied by a certificate issued by Dr. Gabriele Lohberg, Krefeld, dated April 11, 2023.
PROVENANCE: Private collection, Hamburg.
In good condition. The lower left corner has slight creases. There are three tiny holes along the upper edge. The right edge has isolated areas of rubbing. There are minimal, isolated retouching marks. The condition report was compiled in daylight with the aid of a UV light source and to the best of our knowledge and belief.
