Elvira Bach
1951
Im schwarzen Erdbeerkraut. 2010.
Mixed media on firm paper.
Lower left signed and inscribed "EA". Artist proof, presumably asiude from the edition of 30 copies. 92.5 x 61.5 cm (36.4 x 24.2 in), the full sheet.
The main motif featuring the female figure is identical on all copies, but the hand coloring differs, as can be seen here, for example, in the design of the strawberry branch at the top right. [AR]
Full proceeds will go to the Pohlen-Bautz-Holzherr Foundation.

PROVENANCE: Frankfurter Kunstkabinett Hanna Bekker vom Rath, Frankfurt a. Main.
Collection of Prof. Dr. Manfred Pohlen and Dr. Margarethe Bautz-Holzherr, Marburg.

EXHIBITION: Elvira Bach. Laufsteg, Frankfurter Kunstkabinett Hanna Bekker vom Rath, Frankfurt a. Main, January 28-April 2, 2011, no. 16.

In good condition. Minimal dust, with very occasional, slight scuffing and minimal color abrasion, mainly in the black areas. The light spots on the front of the basket are traces of paint and are therefore due to the manufacturing process.
For information concerning the condition, please view the high resolution image / backside image.
