Drypoint, colored by hand.
Twice signed and barely legibly inscribed "Die Abendröte (Umarmung)". On laid paper (with the watermark monogram "ChW"). 17.8 x 23.8 cm (7 x 9.3 in). Sheet ca. 25 x 30 cm (9,8 x 11,8 in).

• Hand-colored variation of the etching “Umarmung II” (cf. Petermann no. 83 II).
• The individual coloring makes this print unique.
• From the collection of the writer Arthur Drey, Frankfurt am Main.

In good condition. Overall browned and with light-staining. Traces of old mounting in the corners of the sheet. The sheet edges slightly irregularly trimmed.
