• Alviani is one of the most important Italian representatives of Op Art and kinetic art.
• He made polished aluminum surfaces and their dynamic interplay with light and surface his characteristic medium.
• In the 1960s, he was in close contact with avant-garde artists such as Piero Manzoni and Lucio Fontana, who developed new pictorial concepts.
• In 1964, he took part in the Venice Biennale and in 1968 in documenta 4 in Kassel.
