• No other artist beside Otto Piene put such strong focus on fire as a means of creation.
• The unusual process of exposing the canvas to fire and soot is largely subject to chance.
• Fire has an iconic status in Piene.
• Works by the great "ZERO" artist are in important international collections like the Sprengel Museum, Hanover, the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, and the Center Pompidou, Paris.
