Signed, dated and titled on the reverse. 50 x 60 cm (19.6 x 23.6 in). [AW].

• No other artist beside Otto Piene put such strong focus on fire as a means of creation.
• The unusual process of exposing the canvas to fire and soot is largely subject to chance.
• Fire has an iconic status in Piene.
