Ebner/Gabelmann 1045 R II (of II). Dube R 193 II. Signed, dated and titledm, as well as inscribed with a personal dedication for Hermann Gerlinger "Herrn Gerlinger herzlich gewidmet von Siddi M. Heckel 21. Nov. 75" by the artist's wife. On off-white wove paper. 24.5 x 20 cm (9.6 x 7.8 in). Sheet: 50 x 39 cm (19,7 x 15,3 in).

• Heckel portrayed himself at the end of his life, seemingly pensive, he looks back on a long life and a great artistic career.
• With a personal dedication by Siddi M. Heckel, the artist wife, to Hermann Gerlinger.
• In the past 20 years only three other copies of this etchinhg were offered on the international auction market (source: artprice.com)
