Signed, dated and titled in lower right. On off-white paper. 51 x 68.5 cm (20 x 26.9 in), the full sheet. [JS].

• Large drawing with an expressive line.
• Rendered in front of the motif, Heckel's landscape drawings in particular testify to his outstanding graphic gift.
Heckel draws near Würzburg standing on the Löwenbrücke near the left bank, looking up the Main on the Maininsel.
• The same year Heckel also captured the atmopheric landscape scene in the painting "Maininsel" (Hünecke 1927-6), it was destroyed in an air rain in 1944
