• Made during Erich Heckel's Italian journey in 1909.
• Both this drawing and a watercolor (cf. SHG no. 367) show this motif.
• Remarkable example of the artist's way of rendering his pictorial innovations in different techniques.

In good condition. With a vertical kink running through the center, which is, however, not untypical of works from these days. With a tiny loss in the upper left corner and a faint kink in the right margin. All four corners with a tiny pinhole.
