Just as it is the case with the composition "Asphodelische Stimmung II" at the Städtische Museum in Brunswick (inventory no. 879, cf. Bechter 1934/4) this work was also made shortly after the death of the artist's mother. According to the catalog raisonneé, princess Jane Carolath was among the models who posed for these pictures. Privatsammlung Baden-Württemberg (1986 vom Vorgenannten erworben).
Nude in sketch-like duct in oil on panel. Tiny isolated adhesions. Crook of the arm of center figure with a small spot of adhesive residue. Edges sligthly rubbed from framing. In good condition.
The condition report was compiled in daylight with the help of an ultraviolet light and to the best of knowledge.
