• Victor Vasarely is considered a co-founder of "Op Art" and was honored with two retrospectives in 2019, at the Städel Museum in Frankfurt am Main and in the Center Pompidou in Paris.
• Particularly beautiful work on and with paper, which combines both strong contrasts and geometric patterns.
• Vasarely took part in the documenta in Kassel four times (1955, 1959, 1964 and 1968)
.

The artist started the collage of cut-out paper in 1950 and realized it around 1985. [AW]
