• In 1984, Noir began painting the Berlin Wall as a spontaneous act of protest and artistic expression.
• His colorful and striking heads characterize the image of the wall on the west side and have become icons of joie de vivre.
• Sections of the wall painted by him can be found in London, New York, Monaco, and Los Angeles.
The work is registered at the Thierry Noir studio. We would like to thank them for their kind assistance.
PROVENANCE: Private collection North Rhine-Westphalia (gifted from the artist around 1994).
In good condition, with fresh colors. The paper is slightly wavy and has some faint creases. The edges of the pages are slightly irregular in places, with a few small tears on the left and right edges.
