Verso probably inscribed by the artist in illegible handwriting, as well as titled and inscribed by another hand. Trial proof from the first printing state, unique for technical reasons. On Arches wove paper. 36.5 x 44 cm (14.3 x 17.3 in). Sheet: 50 x 66 cm (19,6 x 25,9 in).

• With his abstract still lifes, reduced to a single, barely recognizable object and modeled out of color, Fautrier is considered a pioneer of Informalism.

In good condition. The sheet is overall slightly unevenly browned. There is a vertical crease in the center, which is more visible on the reverse side.
