Signed, dated, and inscribed “Berlin” in the upper left corner. Dated and illegibly inscribed “Bildnis Heinrich Schaefer – Schriftsteller mit Maria (Einstein [..])” (name suffix illegible) on the reverse of the stretcher, as well as inscribed “Conrad Felixmüller” by another hand on the reverse of the canvas. 80 x 85 cm (31.4 x 33.4 in).
