• Self-portrait of the artist reading a work by Afred Brust (1891-1942).
• Contact between Schmidt-Rottluff and the writer, who is hardly known today, has been documented since 1916 .

In good condition. Left edge of sheet with the remains of glue from the binding of the "Genius". A horizontal crease running through the center of the right margin. Slightly browned.
