• A remarkably powerful watercolor from the series entitled “Augenbilder” (The Eye Pictures) (1963/64).
• Privately owned since its creation; offered on the international auction market for the first time.
• In the year the work was created, Nay participated in documenta III in Kassel with three large-scale “Augenbilder".
The work is listed under the number “WV-C 64-024.1” in Dr. Magdalene Claesges’ (Cologne) periodically updated and regularly expanded (online) catalog raisonné of E. W. Nay’s works on paper. We would like to express our gratitude for the kind assistance.

In good condition. The paper is very slightly wavy due to the printing process. Very few small brown spots. Remnants of an old mount on the reverse.
