The work is registered in the archive of the Erich Heckel estate in Hemmenhofen on Lake Constance. We are grateful to Ms. Renate Ebner, M.A. and Mr. Hans Geissler, Erich Heckel Estate Hemmenhofen, for their kind support in cataloging this lot.

PROVENANCE: Hermann Gerlinger Collection, Würzburg (with the collector's stamp, Lugt 6032).
