Schapire addenda 85. Ketterer Edition register 173. Signed and numbered. Copy aside from the edition of 90. On Japon. 39.7 x 50 cm (15.6 x 19.6 in). Sheet: 52 x 66,4 cm ( x 26,2 in).
In Schmidt-Rottluff wrote in a letter to Ernst Rathenau, publisher of his catalog raisonné, that he had created the woodcut as early as in 1919, but that he never printed it. The artist retrieved the printing block in 1964 and had it executed HAP Grieshaber in 1975 for the first time.
Released as sheet 5 in the portfolio "Anno Santo 1975", published by Galerie Wolfgang Ketterer, Munich 1975 (with blindstamp).
